Wang "Sneyking" Junjun, the captain of
Team Falcons, stated that Valve often makes changes to Dota 2 without notification, which significantly impacts the situation in matches.
He shared this in an interview during DreamLeague Season 24.
"This happens quite often because there are many things—whether it's bugs or moments that don't work as intended. They get fixed or changed, and the interactions between heroes become different. For example, since Ame often plays Juggernaut, we came up with picking Mars against him. His arena used to cancel Omnislash due to vision restrictions. Apparently, they've fixed that, so we had to remove it from our cheat sheets. There are many such interaction examples. You need to study them and know because Valve can change something without saying anything about it. This happens quite frequently"
The pro player illustrated this with an example from their encounters with Wan "Ame" Chunyue. According to him, unexpected changes forced the team to alter their picks and strategies in tournaments. The pro player emphasized that such innovations from the developers can sometimes determine the outcome of entire tournaments.
"Based on these preparations and knowledge of such interactions, the impact is significant if you dig deep. The pressure at every event makes winning against opponents critically important at this level because the gap between teams vying for the top is minimal"
Recall that earlier, Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov trolled Dota 2 players due to the release of Act 4 of Crownfall.
