Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf is no longer the captain of
Team Falcons, as he has been replaced by the more experienced Jingjun "Sneyking" Wu, who has a better understanding of drafts.
Sneyking revealed this information himself while commenting on the captaincy change in a post-match interview at DreamLeague Season 22.
"At first, ATF wanted to draft and press the button. It was one of the conditions for him to join the team. But as time went on, I realized that it's easier for me to communicate and convey my thoughts. Ammar is too young, and he doesn't always see the bigger picture. I believe I have a more holistic vision. So, I'd rather take the responsibility and implement some of his ideas. He's very open, so he agreed"
According to the esports athlete, the captain's position in
Team Falcons was one of the conditions for ATF to join initially; however, the team's plans changed later. It is possible that the team's coach, Curtis "Aui_2000" Ling, influenced this decision.
"With the addition of Aui_2000 from Canada, we got some drafting templates, and Ammar tells what heroes he wants to play and how he wants them to be played with him"
It's worth noting that initially, many fans considered Sneyking's inquiry to Liquipedia regarding his captaincy as a joke, but ultimately, he indeed took over the role from ATF.
