Jingjun 'Sneyking' Wu stated that Team Falcons suffered two consecutive defeats on the first day of the main group stage of the Riyadh Masters 2024 due to a lack of determination to win. According to the cyber athlete's statement, the team did not perform well in practice matches before the tournament.

The Team Falcons captain shared his assessment of the team's first results at the Riyadh Masters 2024 in a post-match interview on the official Twitch broadcast of the tournament.

"I think we weren't in the best mental frame of mind on the first day. We had a couple of tough defeats in sparring before we started. The mood was not the best. People had expectations because we had been performing so well all year. On the first day we should have put all that aside and not had any expectations. It helps take the pressure off and everyone plays better."

The cyber athlete also added that it is better not to have any expectations from the tournament, as the mindset of solely focusing on winning leads to problems after a string of defeats. If one does not expect anything and focuses on the game, one can perform well even after a series of setbacks.

Despite losing to Team Spirit and Gaimin Gladiators in the first two matches, the team managed to show the best result of the group, winning four matches and also finishing one match in a draw.
