Oliver "Skiter" Lepko, the carry for
Team Falcons, stated that his team enjoys winning in the current meta, so he asked Valve not to release a new patch for Dota 2 yet.
Such a statement was made during an interview at PGL Wallachia Season 1.
"There are two sides to this. Of course, I would like a new patch to refresh the game in some way, but at the same time, I would be lying if I said I didn't like winning on the current patch. So, please leave this patch for now"
He admitted that while the game has become somewhat stale due to the lack of gameplay updates, he and his teammates enjoy winning. It's likely that the current patch plays a significant role in this enjoyment.
Interestingly, many analysts, as well as
Team Spirit manager Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov, have commented that the suitable patch for Dota 2 has played a crucial role in
Team Falcons sudden rise. However, the players themselves had previously expressed skepticism about such statements.
