Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan,
Nigma Galaxy midlaner, said that the decision of his teammate Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi to retire from the active roster of the team and take up the coach’s role has been beneficial for the team.
He spoke about this during his interview with BLAST TV.
“Kuroky has the final say for all our strategies. The dynamics are interesting because he’s been playing Dota for nearly 20 years as a professional player but now he’s pivoted to coaching. The role seems to really suit him as he enjoys doing it, and it's been a real benefit to us”
From what SumaiL says, KuroKy has stopped being a coach on paper only and is enthusiastic about it. He also pointed out that having a former captain of the
Nigma Galaxy with almost two decades of experience in the Dota 2 pro scene helps the team a great deal because they know he is now concentrating on devising plans for the team. They respect his authority and do their best to follow him.
Interestingly enough, many fans have for a long time suggested that KuroKy should accept this position assuming it would be good for the team’s overall performance. In the end, the Dota 2 legend just decided to take the plunge.
In the past, a famous streamer speculated that
Nigma Galaxy is on the verge of disbanding and that a new roster may be revealed as early as May during the Riyadh Masters 2025 qualifiers.
