On March 10th, lawyers representing esports player Said Sumail Hassan filed allegations against the club for contract violations and fraud related to events from 2016, as reported by journalist Richard Lewis. At that time, Sumail was offered 400,000 EG shares in exchange for continuing his career with the club.
Later, after the organization was acquired by another company, Hassan's shares were converted into 265,300 common shares and an additional 106,600 restricted common shares. The esports player considered this a breach of contract terms and accused the organization of fraud.
Furthermore, EG regularly made unfavorable amendments to Sumail's contract, despite the team's successes, including their victory at The International 2015. The court proceedings are scheduled for November 6th. Evil Geniuses has also raised a number of claims against the player for resolution.
