Oleg "Stray228" Bocharov said that he regularly receives invitations from tier-1 teams. According to the streamer, he was called to several squads after the Riyadh Masters 2024, and Stray228 is also confident that he will have the opportunity to return to competitive Dota 2 after The International 2024. However, the content maker has no desire to be a ranked player, but he admits the possibility of continuing his career as a coach.
Oleg "Stray228" Bocharov made the corresponding statement in a video message to the subscribers of the BetBoom Streamers Battle Telegram channel.
"Pro-players know about my skill, ask anyone. You ask a pro-player on any stream - he'll give you respect, because he realizes that there will be problems on the center line. Tir-1 teams get called after every solaffl, a couple teams got called after Riyadh, I'm sure they'll get called after TI13 too.
I can't say I turn them down often, it's just that I've turned down all the pro teams in my time. They don't call me anymore because I made it clear that I'm a streamer for now. Maybe in the future I'll be a coach, but as a player in a dash-1 team I don't plan to be."
BetBoom Streamers Battle 7 will take place August 12-18. Teams of eight popular streamers will play for a total prize pool of 3 million rubles, which is roughly equivalent to 34 thousand US dollars. Oleg "Stray228" Bocharov's team is listed as a participant in the tournament, but at the moment it is unknown who will play instead of the streamer in the lineup.
Recall that earlier manager Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov told how Oleg "Stray228" Bocharov influenced the players of
Team Spirit lineup.
