Azure Ray could have intentionally lost to Team Bright during the closed qualifiers for ESL One Birmingham 2024.

This opinion was expressed by Alexey 'STORM' Tumanov, a commentator and Dota 2 analyst, in his Telegram channel, commenting on the sensational outcome of the match.

'AR 1-2 Bright, oh, the good times are here, the mafia is pleased'

According to his words, it is not ruled out that this was a rigged match. The reason is that spectators and analysts were shocked by the match's result, considering Azure Ray as a Tier-1 team. In the comments, fans were divided into two camps, with some supporting STORM's opinion, while others noted that Azure Ray indeed played terribly. Therefore, Team Bright might have genuinely won with their Dota 2 skills.

To recap, Azure Ray lost with a score of 2:1 in favor of Team Bright and dropped to the lower bracket of the qualifiers for ESL One Birmingham 2024.
