Khaled “sQreen” El-Khabbash believes that if Oliver “skiter” Lepko had not bought the
Divine Rapier on the decisive map of the BLAST Slam IV grand final against
Tundra Esports,
Team Falcons would have had a better chance of winning.
The commentator shared this opinion on Telegram.
“If Skiter hadn't bought the Divine Rapier, it wouldn't have been so bad to die at such moments in exchange for the opponents' buybacks, but with the Rapier, it was already a game-changer, and they simply broke Throne. Either that, or they should have gone all-in and tried to finish the game while Tundra's heroes didn't have any buybacks.”
According to Khaled “sQreen” El-Khabbash,
Team Falcons players made a number of critical mistakes on the decisive map of the grand final, which led to the team's defeat. The commentator also noted a gross mistake during the drafts, when
Team Falcons banned
Kez instead of
Morphling, giving their opponents a significant advantage.
"The Falcons made a critical mistake and gave Tundra a free tournament. I'll just say briefly about the final map: a gross error was made and Kez was banned instead of Morph, which gave Tundra good late-game potential and shut down Gyro. If it had been Kez or any other hero, I'm sure the Falcons would have shut him down without any problems; they often just didn't have enough damage to kill Morph, and he survived on low HP and won fights. Also, with the Falcons' fairly measured style, a scenario where Morph would be destroyed and not gain net worth in the game is unlikely. So, again, an additional reason to ban Morph is that he is a stylistically inconvenient hero, especially when you have Gyrocopter.
Earlier, Alexander “Nix” Levin stated that
Team Falcons were considering kicking Oliver “skiter” Lepko from their Dota 2 roster.
