Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu, support player of
Team Falcons, admitted that he wanted to leave the Dota 2 pro scene to spend more time with his family and close people, but later realized that he still has a serious desire to compete.
He talked about this during Austin “Capitalist” Walsh’s podcast.
“I thought about it, but right now I still enjoy playing and competing on the pro scene. I want to continue.
I think I understand what motivates Quinn and Insania. They have different priorities and different values in life. For me, every year I value more the opportunity to spend time at home with family, but right now I still happily continue playing.
I don’t know what I would even do if I wasn’t playing Dota, you know? It’s some kind of crisis.”
Sneyking explained that with every year he feels a bigger desire to spend time with family instead of Dota 2, but he still wants to win. According to him, there was a period when he seriously considered retiring, but in the end he changed his decision.
He compared himself to Quinn and Insania, saying that he understands them, but they have different priorities, and for now he is not planning to leave his career.
