Silviu Stroie - PGL CEO commented on the holding of ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. It also became known that PGL is still working on organizing new tournaments.
In the beginning, the Singapore Major seemed like an impossible mission. But we, at PGL, know very well that the only limits out there are the ones that we set ourselves. So we worked night and day, and we made it! It was a challenge for us to run an event of such magnitude in the pandemic. With countries being closed for traveling every day, flights canceled every day, we had to put extra effort into bringing everyone here safely and finding ways to return everybody to their homes safely. But we are proud to say that the event was a success. The last 14 months represented a difficult period for every DOTA fan, and the feeling of an offline event is so good. There are things in life that you cannot buy, and if we managed to bring some joy into the hearts of players and fans, this means the world to us. We are already working on our following offline events set for 2021. We are incredibly excited for the upcoming PGL CS: GO Major in Stockholm in November.
