Vitaly “Save-” Melnik admitted that the team was not sufficiently prepared for their match against
LGD Gaming in the lower bracket of the BLAST Slam 7 Dota 2 tournament.
The
BetBoom Team captain summed up the team’s performance on Twitch.
“To be honest, we gave the first map to our opponent as early as the draft. It was tough to play a best-of-three series after already losing the first map. LGD is a good team. I think the second and third maps were close. I probably played poorly.”
According to Vitaly “Save-” Melnik, his team lost the first map due to a poor draft, after which it was difficult for the
BetBoom Team players to regain the upper hand. Commenting on the team’s future plans, Vitaly “Save-” Melnik said that the
BetBoom Team players will be actively preparing for EWC and The International, and also apologized to the fans for the loss at BLAST Slam 7.
“We’ll take a break for about two weeks, and then we’ll grind hard for EWC and The International. Thanks to everyone who rooted for us. Sorry we lost like this. I was hoping we’d make it to the finals, but it is what it is.”
As a reminder, earlier Matvey “Miero” Vasyunin commented on
BetBoom Team’s loss in the match against
Team Yandex at BLAST Slam VII.
