Saberlight Issues a Statement Following Virtus.pro’s Disband

Jonas “SaberLight” Woolek stated that he has no plans to end his professional Dota 2 career following the disbandment of the Virtus.pro roster.

The player made this announcement on X.

“I am very grateful for the invitation to work at TI15, as well as for the attention, support, and assistance from the tournament staff. It was an amazing experience.

Working as an analyst at The International reminded me that I really want to compete and strive to be the best, whether that means playing for a Tier 1 team, dedicating several months to training, returning to the No. 1 spot in the rankings, or playing as a stand-in. I’ll give it my all in the upcoming season.

No setback will stop me from becoming the best. You’ll see me on the pro scene again—and a lot.”

Acording to a statement by Jonas “SaberLight” Wołek, the esports player is grateful for the opportunity to work in the analyst booth at The International 2026 and intends to continue his career as a pro player following the disbandment of Virtus.pro. At the moment, the player is considering the posibility of joining a Tier 1 team, either on a permanent basis or as a stand-in.

As a reminder, Virtus.pro previously officially disbanded its Dota 2 roster, which included Jonas “SaberLight” Wolek and Kanishka Sam “BuLba” Soseil.
