SabeRLighT spoke out about the lack of Battle Pass

Jonas ‘SabeRLighT-’ Volek has expressed his hope that the developers will bring back Battle Pass in Dota 2, which the player perceived as one big tournament.

The player shared a relevant opinion on Twitch.

"I really hope they bring back Battle Pass. I feel like it's already like an integral part of Dota. The whole history of the game we've had one huge tournament with all the hype around it. I know people complained about all the money being focused on that one tournament and the other tournaments not having money. But either way, it's better to have money in one tournament than to have no money and no tournaments."

While the player agrees that there is still quite a lot of money concentrated in the Dota 2 cybersport side of things, and that tournaments with a prize pool of 1 million like DreamLeague 26 are considered quite interesting by the player, the lack of Battle Pass and the decline in the TI prize pool diminish the prestige of the event. Moreover, the player admitted that he really likes Battle Pass, and especially the event with the “Labyrinth of Aghanim”.

"Obviously there's still a lot of money in Dota - $1,000,000 tournaments like this DreamLeague are very cool. But the lack of Battle Pass and the prize pool at TI of $3,000,000 instead of $40,000,000 have lowered the prestige and hype of the tournament.

On top of that, I really like Battle Pass. I love skins, and Labyrinth of Aghanim is the best thing in the world. I hope we get to see something like this again."

As a reminder, Jonas 'SabeRLighT-' Volek previously commented on his replacement in Team Liquid's lineup for DreamLeague Season 26.
