Rostislav "rostislav_999" Protasenya, also known as Rostik Dota 2, announced that he plans to delete his main account with a 10,300 MMR rating, after which Valve won't be able to ban him anymore.
The well-known Dota 2 streamer made this announcement during a live broadcast on Twitch.
"In short, guys, I found one thing that Valve will really be shocked about. I will delete my account, which is 10,300. It got banned, I'll delete it, and basically, I won't have a main account anymore. I'll have to create a new one. Valve shouldn't ban me anymore."
Many professional Dota 2 players' smurf accounts fell victim to a wave of bans from Valve. Rostislav "rostislav_999" Protasenya was one of the first to be banned. Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov stated that rostislav_999 is to blame for the mass bans because the streamer regularly continued streaming from new accounts immediately after previous bans. According to
Team Spirit's manager, this prompted Valve to address the smurf account issue more seriously.
As a reminder,
Nigma Galaxy previously released an official statement where they announced the final date for revealing the updated roster.
