RodjER spoke about the influence of age on a pro player's career in Dota 2

Vladimir “RodjER” Nikoghosyan said that teams are more inclined to take and train young players in Dota 2, but according to the cybersportsman, motivation helps to achieve success at any age.

The pro player shared his respective opinion in a private Twitch broadcast.

“The trend of taking youngsters and training them is working. But if you have a wild desire, it doesn't matter how old you are. You can prove things to everybody.”

Global reshuffles after The International 2024 saw a slew of pro players including Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk and Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov go inactive. Yatoro has been replaced on Team Spirit by Alan “Satanic” Galliamov, for whom this is his first experience on the tier-1 scene. Nevertheless, many Dota 2 legends like Danil “Dendi” Ishutin or Alexey “Solo” Berezin continue to play, despite their age and lack of serious achievements in Dota 2 tier-1 tournaments recently.
