The prize pool for Riyadh Masters 2024 has been officially announced: fans are shocked

Prize pool for the Riyadh Masters 2024 tournament will amount to $5 million, which is three times less than $15 million of the previous year.

The event’s Twitter page revealed this information.

It is said that $1.5 million out of the prize fund will be awarded to winners of the championship in Dota 2 among the twenty participants. The teams that are eliminated first receive only $15,000.

Having a record-breaking prize money was expected by many Dota 2 community members this year, but it turned out to be unwarranted surprise at all. Furthermore, prize pool is three times smaller. In this case people wonder why did teams earn EPT points during the season?

By way of confirmation, the start date for Riyadh Masters 2024 had been released earlier and it will go on for approximately four weeks.
