Organizers of Riyadh Masters 2024 accused of deception worth hundreds of thousands of dollars

Viewers of Riyadh Masters 2024 accused the event organizers of deception, as they promised to give away in-game items worth $250,000 during the Dota 2 stream but failed to do so.

A wave of outrage began in the Reddit community, where this issue was reported.

The giveaway was supposed to be conducted among those who entered a special command in the chat during the Riyadh Masters 2024 stream. However, several viewers noticed that the bot never announced any winners throughout the tournament. Notably, this issue was not observed in other esports disciplines at the Esports World Cup 2024.

The tournament organizers have yet to comment on the situation. It is possible that this was a technical glitch, but the cause of the problem remains unknown. Despite this, a wave of indignation arose in the comments, and a flood of accusations of deception was directed at the tournament organizers.
