Resolut1ion doesn’t wish to pursue becoming the participant in The International 2025 as he believes its stature has diminished over the years owing to the drastic drop of the prize pool.
This was given during a training session through Twitch.
In the session, he was asked, “Is there still the drive to win TI, or has the style died down?” While this is hard to believe, Resolut1on stated that The International has lost all prestige as the unthinkable has happened and apparently money does play a crucial role in competitions.
So he further added, once the figure became $40, the championship became TI And just like that TI10 came around, the international became an extraordinary and incredible championship that has far more relevance and aspiration but sadly the prize pool started to lessen and as ti11 made entry, the emphasis on the world championship began to fade.
He never made it clear whether the Riyadh Masters are able to fill that gap as the Dota2 tournament boasts such a huge sum.
Earlier, Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk did request to play on a smurf account but that was reported with a good enough reason.
