Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok, a Dota 2 professional, was not happy with the matchmaking and said that half of the matches played are not worth playing because of the bad quality.
He made this statement during a Twitch stream.
“You’ve got a sickness, a pretty bad one, that you endure for every minute of every day. You lose and just say, ‘Well, it is what it is, there is no reason to cure it, i am already accustomed to it.’ My 50% of the existence gets wasted absolutely doing nothing and then what constitutes 50% of a life is which no one seems to care about. Even doing this where out of the two games we engage in fifty percent of them are played in this manner, but who cares we are playing this game”
He said that low-quality matchmaking is a reason as to why many players end up losing their precious time in the game. As he emphasized due to the fear of it getting worse, it would be best to create IP bans or low-priority penalties.
“There is rampant tolerance everywhere, and why wait to do something when you can do it right now? Why is there no emphasis placed on implementing account bans, or IP bans or de-prioritised queues? Does that not exist?”
But on the other hand, Resolut1on is not sure how effective the current matchmaking ban system is.
In the past during a game, Resolut1on has had a heated exchange with one of his teammates.
