On Reddit, players are asking Valve to remove an item from Dota 2: because of it, matches last over an hour

Reddit users are asking Valve to remove or nerf Helm of the Undying from Dota 2, saying the item gives too much advantage in the late game and makes matches drag on for too long.

The post appeared on Reddit, where players noted that the item is being heavily abused — and the team with fewer Helms of the Undying usually ends up losing, while teamfights turn into endless battles

The author of the post, under the nickname Kschmitz22, even attached a screenshot proving the item abuse and mentioned that his pub match lasted almost two hours because of it. In the comments, other users supported his petition and asked the developers to fix the issue.

The item grants a unique passive: “The owner stays alive for 5 more seconds after receiving lethal damage.” Because of this feature, teamfights often turn into chaos, and even the dominating side sometimes can’t finish the game due to the opponents’ counterattacks

Players are asking Valve to solve this problem since such late-game items should help close matches faster — not prolong them.

Earlier, Reddit users also requested Valve to ban a well-known Dota 2 streamer.
