Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev revealed that he was invited to join
Virtus.pro ahead of EWC 2025 to replace Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin.
The player shared this on Twitch.
“Lorenof invited me to the team last year, too, when Daxak was kicked. I think I can talk about it now.
Daxak was kicked a week before the EWC, even though I hadn’t played Dota for a year. They wanted to bring in a player because of me, but I hadn’t touched Dota in a year. Yet the players rate me higher than Daxak. I hadn’t even held a mouse in my hands, for that matter.”
According to a statement by Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev, Artem “Lorenof” Melnik invited him to join the team when the roster was deciding to remove Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin. RAMZES666 took this as a compliment, since the team rated him higher than Daxak even despite his long career hiatus.
As a reminder, Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev had previously spoken out about issues with Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak’s preparation.
