Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev was very critical of Jonas “SaberLight” Volek’s performance at the ESL One Bangkok 2024 Dota 2 tournament, arguing that thanks to his long absence from Dota 2, he could have played so much better himself. The player also offered
Team Liquid his candidacy as a replacement, saying that with him, the team would win the tournament.
The player made a statement to this effect on Twitch.
“How do they keep this dude in Team Liquid? Put me in, I haven't logged into Dota for a month, but I'll play better. It's a horror. I'll play 10,000 times better. Liquid, give me an invite, I'll come to Bangkok tomorrow, we'll just blow this turik. I'm ready to fly out, get your tickets.”
Just before the said ESL One Bangkok 2024 Dota 2 tournament, Kushnarev claimed that he is not intending on coming back to the professional scene any time soon. The player apparently decided to stream the tournament on his private channel, and additionally, mentioned that he experienced a noticeable improvement in terms of mental health because of the break from the competitive side of the game.
Recall that earlier Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev highlighted the weakest players of
Team Spirit, commenting on the level of preparation of all members of the roster.
