Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev, the off-laner for
Tundra Esports, claimed that Valve was not investing enough in Dota 2 and suggested that they could reintroduce old game mechanics such as Shrines, instead of creating new ones.
This statement was given during an interview at Riyadh Masters 2024.
“Can I swear? Like ah you know Valve like just don’t give a **** about anything so I don’t know. Ya Dota is changing but it’s not receiving proper attention from the company called Valve. This is my opinion. There are many things I’d change. Yes, Dota’s entry barrier is already high, but they (valve) still add more”
In his opinion, new mechanics only make the game more difficult to understand than it already is making Dota 2 have a high entry barrier. As an alternative to introducing fresh concepts into it he proposed restoration of outdated mechanisms as RAMZES666 proposed the return of Shrine which used to have good healing buffs whenever players crossed them however this has been removed by Valve.
“To get everything straight you need to play a hell lot of games which I hate. They could have left something out and brought back one thing or another; let’s say those shrines that were there before?”
It should be remembered that earlier during Dota 2 games Artour “Arteezy” Babaev talked about an unusual feature of RAMZES666.
