Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev, offlaner for
Tundra Esports, admitted that during their match against
G2 x iG at The International 2024, a prolonged pause after a bug saved his team.
The esports player revealed this during an interview with the YouTube channel KD CAST.
"Saksa said he couldn’t press Leap on Mirana. We took a pause. He reconnected – it didn’t help. The joke is, if it hadn’t been for that pause, we would have been **** by those guys"
The issue was that all players were simultaneously disconnected from the server during the match. After reconnecting, Saksa was unable to use Leap on
Mirana. To address the problem, the organizers had to recreate the lobby, but more bugs occurred: the timer was off, Saksa had no damage from Shard, and the map was missing creeps. Due to these numerous problems, the match was resumed only after 81 minutes.
Ultimately,
Tundra Esports managed to win the game, and RAMZES666 believes that the unexpected pause due to the bug helped the team secure the victory.
