The young professional players make one of the biggest mistakes when they sign long-term contracts with organizations. Quinn "Quinn" Callahan advised that up-and-coming esports athletes should never commit to a team for too long at the beginning of their career.
The valuable advice was shared by the
Gaimin Gladiators midlaner on his Twitter page.
"I've said it before but I keep hearing of instances of this happening. PLEASE if you are a up and coming/t2 player DO NOT sign contracts with orgs with high buyouts and long durations. It will hinder your career SO much please just ask for advice from people or get it looked at"
He clarified that in addition to contract term there was an importance of buyout amount. These contracts may cause problems for promising players. Thus, an enormous buyout amount can prevent them from leaving tier 2 teams even if such young talents receive better offers and it is because of agreement period or massive release amounts which puts their career at stake.
Therefore, Quinn urged players to be careful with this issue, as it can seriously damage their prospects on the Dota 2 pro scene.
