Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko stated that Dota 2 is becoming more and more of a team game, which makes it almost impossible to win in the current meta if one of the players is not committed to the result.
The player spoke about this on YouTube.
“Dota is becoming more and more of a team game. Every player is important. That is, if one of your players drops out of the game completely, it is unlikely that you will win. I believe that the whole team should play Dota, and no one should drop out.”
Although the player agrees that, unlike a support, a player in one of the core positions is still capable of turning the tide of the match on their own, in a situation where the teams are roughly equal in strength, insufficient effort by any member of the team will lead to defeat.
"Obviously, if a support player plays perfectly, it may not lead to victory, but if a core player, for example, pos-2 or pos-1, plays perfectly, it may lead to victory — there is some truth in that.
However, if you are playing in a close game where you are up against five people who are playing at their best, you are unlikely to win if even one of them is playing at half their potential."
Let us remind you that earlier, Ilya “Illidan” Pivtsaev named the reason for the decline in Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko's game.
