Puppey surprised with a statement about Team Spirit, revealing an unexpected issue

Klement "Puppey" Ivanov, a Dota 2 legend and the captain of Team Secret, said that Team Spirit usually does badly in tournaments without multimillion-dollar prize pools. By saying this he also noted that currently the world champions are not at their peak.

Esports player shared his thoughts on it after the game with PGL Wallachia Season 1.

“BetBoom Team is doing better than them now, and Spirit also have some issues when there is no $30 million prize pool at the tournament. It’s good for Spirit but bad at the same time (laughs). I don’t know what to say, they both play very well. We practice a lot with Team Spirit. BetBoom Team we do not scrim against but they are better atm”

Puppey often practices with Team Spirit therefore he admits that they are good while noting that BetBoom Team has an edge over them now as per Puppey’s joke about world champions performing poorly if tournament prizes are below multi-million dollars level.

It should be mentioned though that Team Secret does not practice against BetBoom Team and Puppey did not clarify why or whether this was his decision.
