Clement “Puppey” Ivanov, the
Team Secret captain has said that he will call it a career when he wants to but like for now he has no intention of leaving the Dota 2 Pro scene.
He said this during an interview conducted at the MESA Invitational which occurred in the year 2024.
“I look at the end of my career on whether I choose to retire at an interval. If I have decided to retire then I will and if I have not, includes the option of continuing playing. This question isn’t really one I think about. Probably one day, I will but I cannot tell which day it may be”
Perhaps Puppey’s prediction of when he will hang up his boots is on point, the rationale being that he has no plans of retiring soon. He mentions that he expects to play for long, this surely must put to rest any such talks about the pro scene being his last.
But what is true still is that Puppey’s recent feat’s proxy chasing style of
Team Secret must not have anticipated. At the same time it is entirely possible that they are still getting accustomed to their newest rosters and have a chance of playing even better next year.
Earlier on, it was announced that Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev turned down the chance to join
Nigma Galaxy.
