Professional players have started actively using the new Gorestorm aspect on
Lifestealer, which completely changes the approach to the game - now, in Dota 2, you can literally start taking down towers as early as level six. According to the community, this aspect creates one of the most unconventional and dangerous metas in patch 7.39b.
What makes Gorestorm unique
Unlike other, more mana-intensive aspects, Gorestorm allows you to use Lifestealer’s ultimate on Ancient creeps, not just regular ones. This completely opens up the map for aggression: at level six, you can infest an Ancient creep, teleport to another lane, and set up a full-on gank - kill the carry, take down the tower, and control the map.
How the new mechanic works
After exiting the creep, the target explodes, covering nearby enemies in blood. This blood deals damage over time - 30% of the remaining HP over three seconds. With proper coordination, these plays can completely destroy the opponent’s early game.
If the Marauder camp isn’t available, pro players use the Ancient Black Dragon instead - to farm Ancients and stacked camps. The build works great even without Radiance, especially when incorporating Satanic.
Which pro players are using it
Gorestorm is already being actively used by players like Nightfall, V-Tune, and Pure. This suggests that
Lifestealer may become a high-priority pick in upcoming tournaments, and games could become significantly faster thanks to his early-game power.
Earlier, we reported on another broken meta in patch 7.39b that even beginners can dominate with.
