Following the release of the free Compendium, The International 2025 prize pool has seen its worst growth in Dota 2 history, increasing by only $92,919 in the first 24 hours.
The championship's prize pool is now replenished exclusively through sales of team bundles. Despite the fact that Valve even increased the share of deductions to the fund to 30%, this had virtually no effect on its growth.
If the situation does not change soon, there is a chance that the final prize pool for The International 2025 will be less than $2 million.
Comparison of The International prize pool replenishment on the first day:
The International 2025 - $1,692,919
The International 2024 - $2,022,048
The International 2023 - $2,393,659
The International 2022 - $7,002,913
The International 2021 - $8,152,515
The International 2019 - $7,443,338
The International 2018 - $5,691,835
The International 2017 - $4,794,509
The International 2016 - $4,264,709
The International 2015 - $3,567,485
