Alexey “OverDrive” Biryukov believes that
Team Falcons were able to win the IEM Cologne Major 2026 thanks to the roster’s high-quality play and a fortunate combination of circumstances. The analyst disagrees that this was due to the organization’s effectively structured system.
OverDrive shared this opinion on Telegram.
“Let’s put the Falcons debate to rest:
1. Phenomenal play from m0NESY, Niko, and Kyousuke, plus the games of a lifetime from karrigan and TeSeS, combined with various circumstances, led the Falcons to victory!
2. It’s easy to test this theory. If the Falcons don’t win any of their next five tournaments, then I’m right. If they win at least one of those five tournaments, then I’m wrong—it really is a well-structured system that allows everyone to perform at this level, and I’ll be happy to write about it.
3. Let’s close the Falcons topic! To those posting insults, I advise you to strain your monkey brains at least once in your life and use facts to explain in the comments what’s wrong with my argument so we can have a proper discussion.”
According to a statement by Alexey “OverDrive” Biryukov, if the team manages to win at least one of their next five tournaments, the analyst will admit that his criticism of
Team Falcons’ management system was biased. However, if the esports club fails at all of these events, it will prove him right.
As a reminder, Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov previously spoke out about the problems
Team Falcons faced at the IEM Cologne Major 2026.
