OG learned a new Dota 2 strategy from bots controlled by OpenAI's neural network. After that, the professional scene underwent a radical transformation.
Streamer Alexander "Nix" Levin made this statement during a Twitch broadcast. The corresponding fragment was published on the YouTube channel FRUITY CUTS.
"Previously, essentially the whole meta was concentrated on one hero, and he kind of went and finished everyone. You just needed to make sure your core matchup was stronger. Then this thing with OpenAI bots came out; they played against Europe's OG, who won The International. As a result, the same Europe's OG took a lot from that. And they started rebuilding their game the same way"
He emphasized that AI has significantly transformed Dota 2. This happened after OG, the two-time world champions, adopted techniques from neural network-controlled bots. If previously it all came down to maximizing their carry, now resources are distributed dynamically among the team members.
Recall that earlier Nix refused to play a match in a tournament due to an absurd reason. Nevertheless, the tournament organizers accommodated him.
