OG's defeat helped Team Spirit secure a slot at Riyadh Masters 2024

Dota 2 analyst Rustam “Adekvat” Mavlyutov believes that the victory of BetBoom Team over OG helped Team Spirit to hold on to their place in EPT, which will guarantee them a slot at Riyadh Masters 2024.

That’s what Adekvat said on his Telegram channel.

“Today's win by BetBoom is important not only for themselves but primarily for helping out Spirit to qualify for Riyadh. If OG would've won this match they would've overtaken them in EPT points,” he explained. "And the thing is — like Spirit, OG didn't make it to the last accredited tournament, DL23, so now they can only earn points in Birmingham"

But even though OG still has a chance to overtake Team Spirit in points, the situation will remain partially favorable for Dota 2 world champions.

“Actually they still can surpass Spirit. Simply by winning their LB match against either G2.IG or Xtreme. But then this would eliminate Chinese team from the race too, which also benefits Spirit," says Adekvat.

It is worth noting that three teams have already received direct invitations to Riyadh Masters 2024.
