Dota 2 veteran from Singapore, Wong «NutZ» Jeng Yih announced his retirement as a professional Dota player after more than nine years on the competitive scene.
It is time for me to call it quits from competing in tournaments. It is really difficult to let go of something you've committed your whole youth for. I've pondered about it for several months and finally decided it is time to move on. The new generation of players is already here. They are the ones who are willing to dedicate their time and are more hungry to show their worth in the scene.
Wong made this decision after failing to qualify for the Dota Pro Circuit 2021 in his region.
He also said that at the moment he has no plans for the future. He is looking for new opportunities, but does not exclude the esports industry.
NutZ has performed on the professional Dota 2 scene since April 2013, has been a player for MVP Phoenix, Team Faceless, Reality Rift and other mixes from Southeast Asia. For all time, he has earned over $ 230,000 in tournaments.
