Streamer and ex-esports player Yaroslav Kuznetsov believes that players caught in match-fixing should be handed a one year ban instead of a permanent ban.
He comments on this topic during one of the Twitch streams by stating that:
“322 is something I do not agree with and I consider it wrong, but as in the situation with Solo – I think he has served his punishment, the only issue is that being banned from ranked matches for year and then getting unbanned do question the severity of his punishment. Even though it may be fair to criticize the severity of Solo’s punishment, I think banning someone for a while is a reasonable solution”
Bans for me are not the best of ideas. I mean, a guy committed 322, so what? All he needs is a year’s removal from pro scene, period. And I’m sure he’ll get the message. And if he commits 322 after that then by all means talk about a lifetime ban. It’s a fact he is an habitual offender and has not changed one bit. But to put lifetime ban on first offense, that’s a bit bland though”
As per him, some gammers will literally destroy their lives in esports due to one single mistake made. NS further outlined that One Year ban is suitable however in case someone commits match-fixing again it can be warranted a life time ban.
Previously NS spoke about the situation that would be in
Team Spirit in case Miroslav “Mira” Kolpakov would not be.
