Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov suggests speeding up the drafting stage in Dota 2 matches to one minute.
The well-known caster made this statement during the broadcast of the Games of the Future 2024 championship on Twitch.
"I increasingly insist that the draft stage should last a minute. Well, two minutes. People think about each pick for 30 seconds, plus there's an additional timer. Get rid of that. Let them draft in a minute and play. Why should we waste time on this?"
The caster also adds that players should train their hero selection skills outside of matches, carefully analyzing game statistics. Yaroslav believes that when teams are forced to speed up the draft stage due to penalties, it has little impact on the game outcome for experienced rosters.
Another innovation proposed by NS is the elimination of hero bans, which also consumes a lot of time. The caster suggests automatically banning heroes that were picked in the previous game.
Recall that earlier, Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov announced the disbandment of the current
Team Aster roster in Dota 2.
