NS spoke candidly about the realities of an esports player's life

About a decade ago, a well-known streamer and former professional Dota 2 player Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov spoke about how hard it was for the players in the professional leagues at that time. Many of them did not have any salaries while the management of their clubs wallowed in plenty.

The revelation was made by NS during his Twitch live.

“I recall that there were no funds or wages, however, groove dressed up with expensive clothes. This is my personal opinion and assumption but in those times someone would pocket all the cash. They only gave out mere crumbs. While people did not get paid salaries, team owner or manager drove Maserati”

The ex esportsman pointed out that things are completely different now in Dota 2 as they can earn decent money. However, this has not always been the case. In his words, almost all the money 10 years ago went to the management with even extremely successful teams living from hand to mouth.

Recently Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosyan confessed that he had managed to earn quite huge sums on streaming Dota 2.
