NS revealed that Dota 2 matches will feature quests for gold and experience

Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov stated that in Dota 2 there might appear quests during matches, which will be rewarded with gold and hero experience.

The streamer and former esports player said this during a Twitch stream.

“I think soon the little pigs will start giving quests. I think Dota can reach this. For example, in the game you need to kill 5 neutral centaurs. Is this in Dota Plus? No, also in the game, to get extra reward. Kill 5 neutral centaurs – get 100 gold or 100 experience. What’s wrong? People treat this as a joke, but what’s the joke? You already have neutral items, it’s like MMORPG started”

NS noted that Dota 2 already has many similarities with MMORPG, so he sees nothing funny in adding quests to matches. According to him, the system will be like “kill/find” a certain number of mobs or items.

Although a similar system already exists in Dota Plus, according to the streamer, the same could be introduced during matches, but the reward will be exclusively in gold or hero experience.

It’s worth noting that this mechanic has been suggested on Reddit multiple times, so it’s quite possible that Valve may consider implementing quests in the game.
