Yaroslav Kuznetsov nailed Valve again for changes that - according to him - only impact 1 percent of players, in this case the boosting of MMRIDs - and once again avoided fixing the ranking system of Dota 2.

The streamer and former esports player shared his reaction on his Telegram channel:

“People wanted an MMR rework, but instead, we got some nonsense for just 1% of players”

NS called it another failure to attend to community wishes by updating the MMR cap. He said Novatech was just 8500 - which is laughably low – and stated that this is nowhere near what the Dota 2 community with so many stakeholders strived for. What’s more ridiculous is that even with such steep changes, he doesn't expect the horrific MMR cap to bring the relief the community desperately needs.

Earlier Valve rolled into the arena the update focused on reducing the popular form of cheating known as boosting, and it effectively broke the matchmaking for people over 8500 MMR, known as Immortal Draft.
