Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov stated that instead of a patch, players received an update to the Quartero's Curios event, which completely duplicates the already running Monster Hunter crossover and is aimed at MM grinders.
The streamer and former pro player wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
“Wow, the patch is out!
THE Quartero's Curios GOT UPDATED
I’m a bit surprised because, basically, an analog of these curios already existed (the Monster Hunter collab literally has the same mechanic — play, loot), so they just duplicated the event that’s already going, as if they forgot it even exist.
But now the curios have rewards all the way up to level three hundred. They understood that there are actually quite a lot of people ****grinding 20 mm’s per day in their game”
NS admitted that he is actually surprised by Valve’s decision. According to him, the developers literally duplicated an event that is already active. The streamer noted that both the crossover and the Qwertero Curios have the same mechanic — play matches and receive rewards.
He even joked that maybe the developers forgot that the event is already in the game, so they launched another one that fully mirrors it. According to him, the event is aimed at grinders who play around 20 matches a day, which explains why you can climb all the way to level 300.
It was earlier reported that all rewards of the new Winter Quartero's Curios event in Dota 2 have been revealed.
