Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov said that he has the impression that the developers add annoying mechanics in Dota 2 matchmaking on purpose. The streamer is dissatisfied with the Immortal-draft system, as it does not give the opportunity to choose the desired position independently.
The streamer shared the relevant opinion in a private Twitch broadcast.
"I do not want to play on the "four". Let me play on my role. This Immortal draft. Gaben - it's like he's purposely making everyone pissed off about everything in this game. Why can't I pick a role? I want to play on a five, I don't want to play on a four, a curry, a mid, a three, some nonsense. I want to play on a five so I can take certain heroes there and I'm happy with everything. Why should I play on some nonsense not my own. Who came up with that and why is that considered normal in his world?"
The Immortal-draft system was introduced by the developers over a year ago for high ranked players. It is activated when a player reaches 6500 MMR and provides for the selection of two random players who independently form teams for the upcoming match by choosing teammates from the pool. This approach eliminates the possibility for a player to choose his own position. Also with the introduction of this system was removed dodge-list, which allows you to ban unwanted players, which made it impossible to meet with them in matchmaking.
Recall that earlier Valve were forced to disable the ability to select one of the heroes for matchmaking due to a critical error causing a server crash.
