PARIVISION captain Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko believes that the offlane is the most difficult role in Dota 2 as there are just eight players who can perform decent enough to compete at the level and only three who can dominate.
The esports player expressed suchviews on a twitch stream.
“In professional Dota, the most difficult role of all is the ‘three’ position. Only eight people of the world are able to play the offlane reasonably well. There are 50 players who are good enough to learn and perform in the mid position. Offlane? Collapse, 33, and ATF... There are only these three players”
The legendary midlane player emphasized that Li stands out with this remark as hundreds aim for his role while the other merely three players have the skills to fill the offlane role on the professional scene. Based on his observations no one person can dominate in only three areas: Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov, Neta "33" Shapira, Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf.
It must be emphasized that many analysts subscribe to this viewpoint. They also tend to note that there are very few high-level offlaners in the professional scene. Perhaps this is the reason why Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek made a transition from playing the support role to the offlane position because he reportedly is going to join a fresh new line up being formed at
BetBoom Team. Such a roster may have Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov.
