Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko believes that Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen has a strong influence on the development of the Dota 2 meta by popularizing new heroes.
The player shared this opinion in an interview on Twitch.
“He’s constantly bringing heroes from pub games into the meta. I often watch his games. To be honest, I really enjoy watching Topson’s pub games. For example, that Viper build with Bloodstone and Shiva’s Guard that we saw at DreamLeague last year—he was the one who came up with it. He was the first to play Snapfire in the mid lane, and Earth Spirit—that was him, too. Thank you, Topias.”
According to Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko, Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen popularized heroes such as
Snapfire in the mid lane,
Viper paired with
Bloodstone and
Shivas Guard—which the esports player introduced to the meta last year—and
Earth Spirit, which Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko’s team used effectively in the TI15 qualifiers.
As a reminder, Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen previously assembled a team to compete in the qualifiers for The International 2026.
