Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko gave a negative assesment of patch 7.40 for Dota 2, stating that the meta for his position as an esports player remained virtualy unchanged.
The player shared this opinion on Twitch.
"Right now, people are picking Tiny and Earth Spirit, but it feels like they haven't changed at all. They just nerfed the heroes from the last patch. For me, it's a sad patch because only one or two heroes have changed in the midlane, while Viper, Invoker, and Queen of Pain haven't changed at all. The same goes for Nature's Prophet. I evaluate the patch based on the heroes. When I read it, I found zero heroes that I would like to test in public."
Acording to Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko, heroes such as
Tiny and
Earth Spirit are curently popular in the midlane, but their abilities remain the same as in the previous update, and these characters have come to dominate the meta due to the weakening of a number of other characters. The esports player noted that after reviewing the new patch, he had no desire to test heroes in matchmaking.
Earlier, Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko spoke about changes at
PARIVISION after the team's defeat in the DreamLeague Season 27 playofs.
