In the upcoming Dota 2 season, there may be no Majors following the decision to cancel the DPC. The only major tournament from Valve could be The International 2024, according to commentator Vladimir 'Maelstorm' Kuzminov, as shared in an interview with Metaratings.
"Don't expect Majors from Valve, judging by the information from ESL and other sources. Personally, I see no reason to expect Dota Majors. At best, we can anticipate The International 2024"
It's worth noting that Valve has not made any official announcements regarding the organization of Majors. It's quite likely that some of the biggest tournaments of the year will be ESL events, such as ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.
Earlier, Maelstorm predicted a possible start date for The International 2024, as there hasn't been a customary announcement for TI12 from the organizers.
