Alexander "Nix" Levin, a streamer and former esports player, announced that he no longer finds enjoyment in Dota 2 and may soon permanently leave the game.
The statement was made during his Twitch stream.
"I feel like, guys, I might leave Dota for good soon. I don't know when it will happen. Maybe this year will be the last, maybe not"
Nix noted that he no longer finds pleasure in playing the game but can still stream it. However, he warned that he might soon stop even that.
"Such thoughts have started creeping in. It all starts with you not being able to play anymore. I still get some enjoyment from watching the game"
However, the streamer mentioned that he has gone through a similar period before but changed his mind after a Dota 2 patch was released, which made the game interesting again.
"It's all connected. If I get annoyed watching Dota, my commentary will suffer. And I take my work very seriously. Maybe it's a temporary feeling. I had this a year ago, but after the patch with portals, the desire to play and watch immediately returned"
Recall that earlier, Nix made a surprising statement about two players from
Team Spirit, stating that they are not esports players of the same caliber as their teammates.
