Alexander “Nix” Levin admitted that he only seriously decided to become a pro gamer after watching the anime “Bakuman.”
The streamer shared this during a broadcast on Twitch.
“Bakuman is the anime that made me start playing professionally. It's local, so it won't appeal to everyone. But it motivated me a lot. Before that, I had a high rating, but I was playing for fun. I clearly remember watching Bakuman and wanting to become a professional gamer. I set myself a goal right away”
The former esports player clarified that not everyone will like the anime, but it was what inspired him to start his career as a pro gamer. Nix noted that at the time, he already had a high rating, but he was just playing for fun, and after watching the anime, he set himself the goal of achieving success on the pro scene.
It is worth noting that Bakuman itself does not feature esports — it tells the story of two main characters who did not know what to do after school. Nevertheless, both soon set themselves the goal of writing the greatest manga in history.
We would like to remind you that earlier, Miroslav “Mira” Kolpakov revealed why he actually stopped streaming.
