Nix explained why he actually quit Dota 2

Alexander "Nix" Leyn revealed that he quit Dota 2 because he is extremely tired of it, having played the game since 2014 because, according to him, everything has remained the same for the last two years.

The streamer mentioned this while streaming on Twitch.

“I’ve completely had it with Dota; I’m sick to my stomach. There has not been any important change for more than two years which would positively change the game. Dota has newer players coming in; I know that a lot of people came during WE after 2020. Those players will not feel burned out the same way as me. I have played Dota since 2014 or 2015, if remember right, Wyze put a lot of his life into it, and I am so tired now”

Nix said that …being a streamer nowadays is much tougher than it was a couple of years ago. The streamer pointed out that he was expecting Valve’s MOBA to receive a major update which never came, so he decided to check out League of Legends.

Whether or not Nix will fully quit streaming Dota 2 is uncertain, however, he has said that he will not stream any tournaments in the esports part of the game anymore.
