Alexander “Nix” Levin claimed that Valve’s Deadlock did not succeed because the game is too difficult and has no meaningful rewards or cosmetics.
The streamer gave out his opinions during a Twitch stream.
“The game is too complicated, plus there are no in-game perks. There are no skins, no battle passes, nothing”
He also reacted strongly to Deadlock’s comparison to Dota 2, admitting that MOBAs are already impossible for the average player to understand. Putting more mechanics into the game made it overly complex for most players.
“Dota is one of the hardest games in the world. And you are saying this is just Dota with shooting?”
